Meet the Sona Series: A High-Fidelity Point Source for Distributed and Architectural Audio
Sona 35
The Sona Series introduces a high-fidelity, full-range point source designed for applications where clarity, form-factor, and integration all matter.
The Sona 35 is a passive, 3-way architectural loudspeaker built to deliver consistent, balanced sound in a compact, sleek format. With bandwidth extending down to 58 Hz, it is capable of operating as a full-range solution in many applications, either on its own or with subwoofer support depending on the system design.
Its internal configuration combines a coaxial element with dedicated low-frequency drivers and passive radiators, allowing it to produce more low-frequency extension and SPL output than typically expected from a loudspeaker of its size. The result is a system that maintains presence and detail while remaining physically discreet and versatile in its mounting deployment.
Built for Distributed and Architectural Applications
The Sona Series is designed to function across a wide range of environments where even coverage and intelligibility are critical.
In hospitality settings, it can be deployed as a distributed system in restaurants or lounges, mounted vertically or horizontally to match the layout of the space. Its slim profile and customizable finishes allow it to integrate cleanly into the environment while maintaining high-fidelity sound.
In theaters and houses of worship, the Sona is well-suited for front fill or under-balcony applications, where coverage needs to remain even and speech must remain clear. Its full-range performance and output allow it to support larger systems without feeling limited in smaller roles.
For conference rooms and classrooms, the Sona provides a discreet solution with high SPL for its size and full-range speech intelligibility and high-quality music playback.
It can also be used in residential or hospitality environments as a left/right or left/right/center system, offering a compact, high-fidelity solution for TV and media applications.
Outdoor and marine applications are supported through its IP55 rating and saltwater-resistant construction, with a marine version available for installations in more demanding environments such as cruise ships, beach resorts, and cold weather locations.
Flexible Mounting and Straightforward Installation
The Sona Series is designed to simplify installation without limiting flexibility.
Using the included recessed mounting bracket, the loudspeaker can be flush-mounted to a wall or ceiling, extending approximately 4 inches from the surface, making it ATA-compliant. Once the bracket is installed, the loudspeaker locks into place, allowing for a controlled and efficient installation process that can be completed by a single installer.
For applications requiring directional control, the Tilt Bracket provides fixed down-tilt angles in both vertical and horizontal orientations, allowing coverage to be adjusted while maintaining a clean, architectural presentation.
This combination of mounting options allows the Sona to adapt to the needs of the space with its robust yet discreet, versatile accessories.
A Compact System with Full-Range Capability
Despite its size, the Sona 35 is designed to operate as a full-range loudspeaker. Its low-frequency extension and output capability allow it to be used in applications where a subwoofer may not be required, depending on the desired system performance.
At the same time, it integrates easily into systems where additional low-frequency support is needed, making it a flexible option across different types of installations.
