The 1 SOUND Team

The Update:

We returned to our second ISE tradeshow with high excitement and anticipation! This year we highlighted our latest released loudspeakers the Contour CT212 (which was a nominated Loudspeaker Finalist for the Inavation Awards), Tower LF44, SUB215, and the latest addition of the Cannon Series in Marine Versions. We gave an exclusive first look at our new 3D audio design and prediction software, Auralis, showcasing its interface and some of its capabilities. Additionally, we decided to demonstrate two prototypes of upcoming loudspeakers, the Cardioid Monitor CM38 and Level L25, that will be announced and released later this summer! It seemed as though our new Cardioid Monitor CM38 was the star of the week so we decided to have Lou Mannarino, the audio designer himself provide a first look through a video walkthrough for this article.

We, the 1 SOUND team, felt very proud and grateful to be in attendance at ISE and to exhibit many new products that we have been eager to talk about. We look forward to the upcoming year and seeing what you all create with these new tools!

Exclusive First Look at the
Cardioid Monitor CM38

Lou Mannarino introduces a new 1 SOUND loudspeaker prototype that will be launching this summer, the CM38.

Here is the first look at the CM38 (or the Level L38) prototype, otherwise known as our new cardioid monitor! Lou Mannarino, gives an exclusive look at this new loudspeaker releasing this summer. The CM38 is a passive cardioid, 3-way loudspeaker with a progressive high-frequency. This triple 8" loudspeaker is full range and can achieve over 130 dB max SPL and shocked its viewers at its exclusive debut during ISE. This loudspeaker can be used as a cardioid monitor for live performances or can be mounted flush to the wall with its horn rotated for installations calling it the Level L38. More information on the CM38 and L38 will be announced soon leading up to this loudspeaker's launch this summer at InfoComm 2024.

Tower LF44,
Low Frequency Extension Column

Lou discusses how to utilize the Tower LF44 and how it performs in combination with the Tower LCC44 and LCC84.

The Tower LF44 is the latest addition to the Tower Series and not something to be forgotten. This low frequency column array loudspeaker is meant to perform with the Tower LCC44 or LCC84 as a low frequency extension. It is useful in installations utilizing a Wall Bracket or for live performances mixed into a Tower array. The LF44 is the same construction and look as the LCC44, therefore all the LCC44 accessories are applicable to the LF44. The LF44 uses an independent amp channel with proprietary DSP.

Lou explains the difference between the 3 available versions of the Cannon Series and when to choose the marine version.

The Cannon Series is now available in a Marine version. All 1 SOUND loudspeakers are IP55 however the Marine version will have fully stainless steel A4 316 hardware and a marine-grade cable gland that comes with marine-grade speaker wire in either black or white, making the Cannons withstand harsh weather environments while maintaining their high-fidelity sound and elegant fit and finish.
