Ruby's Cafe West Village Finds The Perfect Blend For Their Custom Cannons
Ruby’s Cafe, an Australian all-day cafe that has had success with its 3 predecessors, has just opened in the West Village. The restaurant sits on the historic corner of 7th Avenue South and West 4th Street offering a vibrant and airy design serving as an oasis of calm in this bustling neighborhood.
Global AV was contracted for the audio design and installation for this new Wish You Were Here Group’s restaurant. Jason Ojeda, President of Global AV, saw this as the perfect environment to utilize 1 SOUND loudspeakers. For the audio design Global AV specified mostly Cannon C5’s and C4i’s because of their high-fidelity sound and extended low-frequency. The clarity of the Cannon Series shines in this restaurant application because of the clear sonic intelligibility and how the sound is non-obtrusive when people have conversations. For the main dining area, Tower LCC44’s were mounted with their respective Wall Bracket accessory. The Tower LCC44’s have a wide and controlled dispersion of 120 degrees horizontal and only 5 off the top and bottom, helping to keep sound off the lower ceiling and minimize any reflections.
After the installation, the rooms were painted with creative designs, the client actually painted on the loudspeakers themselves to match the walls and even the multiple patterns!
