Cannon C5’s Support Maison Margiela's Exhibition in Tokyo
Maison Margiela held a large-scale installation to showcase their 2022 "Artisanal" collection, "Cinema Inferno" conceived by creative director John Galliano. To commemorate the relocation opening of Maison Margiela Omotesando store, this exhibition took place in Shibuya, Tokyo from part of July into August as a limited time immersive exhibition based on the story "Cinema Inferno".
The exhibition invited people into the scenes of the story, while the film of the 2022 Couture show plays on LED screens. For audio reinforcement, East Audio based in Japan, installed Cannon C5s throughout the exhibition, playing the sounds of the dark poetic story. The C5s were hung as angled pendants on ⅜ inch threaded rod with a C-Clamp accessory. The C5’s 113 max SPL and extended low-end and high-fidelity sound quality was all that was needed to support this luxury exhibition environment.

The C5 sounds more musical than its size and shape would suggest, with a rich low frequency range.
